McCartney's Walk of Fame Honor Took 19 Years

Sir Paul McCartney's new star honor on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been a long time coming - he was selected for the accolade in 1993.

Nineteen years later, he will become the last solo Beatle to unveil his plaque next week.

A Walk of Fame spokeswoman tells WENN, "He was selected in 1993 but never set a date with us. We have been after him for years and one of the execs at Capitol finally got him to agree.

"The Beatles have one (star) as a group and now the Beatles on our Walk will be complete."

Macca's star on Vine Street, outside the Capitol Records Building, will be the Walk of Fame's 2,460th. (KL/WN/MT)
